follow a consensus reached among the industry associations, while discussions are

expected to continue during a sector event, scheduled for 4-6 August in São Paulo.

Under the agreement, Mercosur will have a shared annual duty-free poultry quota

of 180k tons, while pork quotas amount to 25k tons and egg quotas total 3k tons for

processed eggs and 3k tons for albumins. The 20k ton poultry quota available in 2026

has already been fully utilized by Brazilian exports.

Brazil poultry exports to EU could be approved before 3 September

deadline

According to GloboRural, ABPA (Brazilian Animal Protein Association) remains

confident that Brazil poultry exports to the EU could be approved before the 3

September deadline. According to the association, Brazilian producers are

currently running a full poultry production cycle under the required antimicrobial

controls ahead of the EU audit, and European authorities could potentially

authorize exports before the final audit report is issued. ABPA also highlighted that

Brazil's poultry exports volumes could be redirected to other markets if necessary.

the EU could remain suspended until November, as the country's reinstatement

depends on a DG SANTE (Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety) audit
