The JMTBA announced June 2026 final machine tool orders at 3:00 pm on 29 July.
Machine tool orders in June 2026 reached a record high, confirming that the demand
environment surrounding machine tools and factory automation (FA) is very strong, with
orders expanding across a wide range of countries, regions, and industries. By industry,
strength in orders for electrical/precision equipment, including AI- and semiconductor-
related demand, continued, while orders for aerospace/shipbuilding/transportation
machinery also remained at high levels. In addition, automotive orders are on a recovery
trend, which is positive as it indicates a broadening of the demand growth. These trends
are consistent with Keyence’s Q1 FY3/27 results announced on 28 July. The company’s
Q1 results showed sales growth across regions and industries, indicating that a recovery
in capex is progressing globally. Although geopolitical risks remain an uncertainty, global
capex is in a recovery phase. In addition to AI- and semiconductor-related demand,
orders for aerospace, automotives and general industry are expanding, and we expect
solid machine tool orders to continue for the time being.
Overview of final machine tool orders in June 2026
