Fast Lane: CHRW Receives Nuclear Verdict, AUR Announces Aurora Driver 2, JBHT Launches Overroute, & TSLA, UNP, & NSC Earnings

UpdateMAurora Driver 2 features an entirely new vehicle structure with hardware that is

dust, heat, rain, and vibration-resistant; it also has a redundant compute stack that

enables the driver to react in milliseconds, sensing over half a mile out in any

lighting, further enabling a 34 second reaction advantage vs. current human drivers.

When the Driver completes a trip from DFW to Phoenix, it has ran the trip 40%

faster than a human driver since it never has to rest, which translates into an ~2x

revenue per truck. The Driver will expand to the International LT, its first driverless

integration, and is being packaged as a turnkey product via a previously announced

Roush manufacturing partnership capable of producing 1,000+ trucks/years.

AUR's Driver 2 is already live on AUR's VAS lane, with planned expansion into the

Sunbelt this year. Additionally, AUR created a new Aurora App that is user-friendly

and increases visibility into operations, yard management, and driver health. This is

another notable milestone for AUR's shift from pilot testing towards broader

commercialization (see here and here for earlier updates). AUR has addressed

safety concerns through additional testing and screening, promoted the economic

benefit of autonomous trucking through strong revenue metrics, demonstrated how

it increases operational efficiency by noting time saved vs. human drivers, and made

it accessible for individuals who have no exposure to AVs through its Aurora App –

all serving as key drivers for ramping commercial adoption.

JBHT announced the public launch of Overroute, an AI-native freight execution

platform.
