TOTVS/GLOB/CINT: OpenAI launches Presence to deploy enterprise AI agents;

disintermediation risk for ERPs, deployment competition for IT services

What happened: Yesterday, OpenAI announced OpenAI Presence, a product that

helps enterprises deploy AI agents to handle customer and internal workflows, such

as resolving billing issues, supporting insurance claims or handling employee IT

requests. Key takeaways were:

Agents that use company systems and take approved actions. Presence

agents can answer questions, verify users, look up account information, apply

company policy and take approved actions, escalating to a person when

needed. Each deployment is scoped to a specific job and receives only the

knowledge and system access that job requires, with the company setting

what the agent can do and when it needs approval.

OpenAI leads the deployment, with select integrators. OpenAI works

alongside each customer to connect the necessary systems, set policies, test

the agent and bring it into production. Deployments are led by OpenAI's own

Forward Deployed Engineers (FDEs) and selected global system integrators,
