OSAKA Titanium On July 10, Osaka Titanium held a tour of its Amagasaki titanium plant.

The visit confirmed its advanced manufacturing technologies for stringent aerospace quality

requirements, robust quality assurance through strict control and inspection systems, and

stable, industry-leading supply capabilities, leaving us with a positive impression. Investment

in a new plant to add 10k tons of sponge titanium capacity by FY3/28-end is also progressing

smoothly.

The Japan Steel Works A briefing on the JGP2028 Update was held on Jul 13. While its basic

policy is unchanged, the company revised its strategy and targets to reflect market changes.

Although plastics machinery was downgraded, growth in defense and castings & forgings

offset the weakness. Given conservative assumptions for castings & forgings and improving

orders for pelletizers etc., we see upside to the MTP. Operating CF is also expected to turn

positive in FY3/28.

Yaskawa Electric Q1 FY2/27 OP sharply missed market consensus estimates, due to negative

impact of operation disruption following renewal of IT infrastructure and one-off restructuring

activity. Mgmt kept full-year OP guidance unchanged, as it expects increasing production
