As we highlighted in our 2Q26 earnings preview, we expected this to come up as a

Gabriel Gonzales, CFA topic/theme for suppliers during earnings season.

In our view, the plan lacks details, and we suspect there could be challenging gabriel.gonzales@ubs.com

negotiations with unions and Lower Saxony. Thus, it's difficult to know with much +1-212-713 4866

accuracy the impact (dollar and timing) to suppliers.

That said, VW's 10% reduction from previous capacity plan (~1mm units) is likely a

headwind. Further, it will raise concerns that suppliers with high VW and European

exposure could have a call on cash from higher restructuring as suppliers may need

to rationalize their footprint in tandem with European OEMs. A potential
