Engie launches share offering that can move up to R$10.5bn and takes Jirau into +55-11-2767 6694

On Monday, July 6, Engie Brasil Energia launched a primary public offering of shares

that could move up to R$10.5 bn, considering the additional shares and the closing

price of the shares on B3 on July 3. The offering provides for the initial issuance of

178,718,109 common shares, with the possibility of an increase of up to 82.8%,

which corresponds to up to 147,976,807 additional shares. Engie Brasil

Participações (EBP), the company's parent company, has made a commitment to

subscribe shares in the amount of R$5.744 bn. EBP will pay these shares through the

contribution of the interest it holds in Jirau Energia, and not in cash. (link)
