Elevated pricing is expected to persist into 2027 as memory and component costs
remain tight, and management’s FY27 framework assuming a continued
inflationary environment.
Networking demand remains broad-based and strong, with strength in Campus &
Branch, datacenter switching, routing, and interconnect. Management highlighted
enterprise data-center networking as an area of increasing momentum and sees
the segment as still supply-constrained. They characterized the supply
environment as tight but manageable. The FY27 networking guide of 8-12%
appears largely supply-driven, with the higher end assuming improved availability.
Networking for AI continues to open incremental opportunity for the combined
HPE-Juniper portfolio, particularly in data-center interconnect, scale-out
networking, and eventually scale-up with Helios. Management remains pleased
with what they are seeing in DC networking and believes the combined platform is
beginning to expand the addressable market.
GreenLake remains a strategic positive, especially for certain customers under
compliance or cost constraints that are moving to on-prem deployments.
Margin performance remains healthy, with management emphasizing that the
business is benefiting not only from pricing but also from better execution and
Juniper synergy realization. They suggested margins would have been better if
there wasn’t elevated variable compensation.
Opex will run somewhat higher near term due to variable compensation tied to
stronger performance, but this should normalize in FY27.
