the Energy Finance Lab at the Colorado School of Mines to discuss the EU's Methane Regulation

(EUMR), which is expected to be extended to imported LNG in Jan-27. This could force LNG

exporters to adopt EU-equivalent standards or risk being penalized and/or potentially blocked from

the EU market. While the regulation has yet to be published, with the US supplying 27% of the

European pipeline natural gas and LNG imports in ’25, the EU’s requirements could impact flows

to the continent. Monitoring, reporting, and verifying methane emissions to comply with the EU’s

standards presents considerable challenges, and the discussion on this call will cover the different

ways to verify & certify US gas methane emissions. We will discuss the different steps key gas

suppliers are taking to comply.
