This report leverages the following UBS Evidence Lab asset: Global Cargo Airline Traffic Monitor.
UBS Evidence Lab ingests global flight data from a provider of air traffic transponder data that is
joined with aircraft fleet information to provide a detailed view of not only flights but the
associated aircraft. Each data harvest is tested for accuracy and completeness using a
proprietary set of data quality checks. The data cleansing process includes redundant record
removal, data normalization, unit conversions and taxonomy verification. UBS Evidence Lab
aggregates global cargo air traffic data at the flight level for monthly periods. We map each
flight to an operator as well as a country and region of take-off and landing. For each flight, we
