•• Chinese automakers agree unified cost standards to curb price war: According to a CAAM

official statement, China’s 18 major automakers have agreed to establish unified cost

standards to curb a price war. The rules establish a strict baseline for calculating vehicle

costs, expressly banning malicious cost-lowering through suspect transfer pricing with

affiliates or arbitrary adjustments to accounting estimates. Subsidies, dealer rebates, and

trade-in promotions must now be universally deducted from net revenue, preventing

automakers from hiding the true depth of discounting strategies.

•• Apple completes registration process for iPhone AI tools powered by Qwen AI in China:

According to Bloomberg, based on an announcement released by the Cyberspace

Administration of China today, Apple’s generative AI services have officially completed the

regulatory registration process required for mobile devices in China. The local partners

include Alibaba. An Alibaba spokesperson said its Qwen AI models will be available across

iOS, iPadOS and macOS for users in China, enabling text and image recognition and

generation.

•• Tencent’s Yuanbao integrates JD.com’s AI agent through Wechat mini-program

ecosystem and Meituan's agent is under internal testing: According to Netease News,

Tencent has officially announced the integration of its AI application Yuanbao with JD AI

Agent. When users search for or ask about products in Tencent Yuanbao, the AI assistant will

provide extensive details, parameter comparisons, and buying advice, while matching smart

product cards. Integration of Meituan's agent Xiaomei is also under internal testing.
