The 2nd Chinese wave looks stronger than the 1st Analyst

comparable vehicles in Brazil since late 2025, we have seen a structural shift in the +55-11-2767 6918

market, with Chinese OEMs rising from very small players in 2023 (with 1% market Andressa Varotto

share in Jan/23) to consolidated OEMs in the Brazilian Hatch/Entry, Premium, Analyst

Medium and Compact SUVs and Sedans segments, mainly through retail sales, andressa.varotto@ubs.com

reaching 7% market share in Dec/24 and 19% share as of June/26. This comes as a +55-11-2767 6654

result of the shift of models offered, as the 1st wave was characteristic for Medium/ Rafael Simonetti

Heavy SUVs above R$200k, while in this wave we see a larger presence still in the Associate Analyst

R$120-150k range. As a result, we see Chinese cars with strong penetration in retail +55-11-2767 6628

sales, especially the Dolphin Mini, which has been the most sold car for retail in the

last 4 months.

Heavy/Medium SUVs reached 65% of market share, on retail sales 76%

Overall, we see Chinese Autos rising in share in sales (19% of the total market),

driven mainly by the retail division (34% of the market) which has been the main

growth avenue across categories. Chinese Heavy/Medium SUVs maintain the

leadership of the market, representing ~65% of sales in the category (from 62% past

month).
