privacy-preserving technologies and initiatives.

Management is increasingly directing the focus of Cypherpunk’s treasury strategy towards active participation

in the broader privacy technology ecosystem. The company emphasizes that “privacy is the silent precondition

of freedom” and describes its mission as advancing technologies that guarantee privacy for humans on the

internet. The company’s manifesto also centers its vision of a future—where technology defends self-

sovereignty through code—around its primary focus on Zcash, through direct investment, accelerating its

adoption, and strengthening its ecosystem.

Cypherpunk’s treasury strategy has also materially transformed the company’s financial profile. During

FY2025, the company recorded approximately $50.4m of unrealized gains associated with mark-to-market

appreciation of its ZEC treasury holdings, while 1Q26 reflected approximately $77.6m of unrealized losses

following declines in ZEC prices during the quarter. Cypherpunk’s financial performance and equity value are

therefore now highly sensitive to fluctuations in ZEC prices and broader digital asset market conditions. At the

same time, legacy biotechnology operations have become a substantially smaller component of the

company’s expense base following completion of key clinical programs and reductions in research and

development spending.
