Our quant models are currently suggesting that dividend growth will be positive in all

five regions. The largest dividend growth is forecast to be in Japan (13.2%), while the

lowest forecast is in Europe (3.3%). Turning to sectors, the models forecast the largest

dividend growth globally for IT (+13.8%), and the lowest growth for Utilities (+1.4%).

Consumer Discretionary in Europe has the worst growth forecast overall, at -5.4%.

Note these are aggregate numbers, so individual stocks may still have reasonable

dividend growth in sectors and regions with negative average forecast dividend growth.

The overall probability of a dividend cut is 18.8% (previously 17.8%). EM and Pacific ex

Japan continue to have a higher risk of a dividend cut than the other regions, while the

US appears to be the safest at 5.3%. This pattern is in line with what we saw last quarter.

The probability of a dividend cut across sectors ranges from c.17% to 22%. The safest

sector is US Utilities, with a probability of a dividend cut at 1.1%.
