■ Saronic's Corsair rescues US Apache helicopter pilots near Strait of Hormuz. The

SUSV rescued two pilots after their helicopter was downed by an Iranian Shahed

drone. The Corsair is a 24 ft USV capable of carrying up to 1,000 lbs over 1,000 nm

at speeds exceeding 35 kts. The boat was operated by the US Navy's Task Force 59,

a dedicated unit for unmanned systems. OUR TAKE: The Navy’s use of the CorsairINDUSTRY in a real-world search and rescue scenario underscores the platform’s operational

utility. Saronic was awarded a $392mn OTA contract for the SUSV last year, with ~

selected as one of seven vendors on the Navy’s MUSV Marketplace.
