According to the MIIT official statement, China seeks to eliminate unreasonable curbs,
including car purchase limit, on auto consumption while expanding consumption across the
industry’s entire value chain. The ministry has designated 40 pilot cities to lead reforms in
auto distribution and retail consumption. China also outlined measures to cultivate and scale
the auto aftermarket, calling for the establishment of a robust regulatory framework for
