should sit with that idea for a moment. In an era of short-tenure CEOs optimizing for near-term EPS beats

and stock-based compensation tied to three-year windows, the structural incentive is almost always

to extract individual value at the expense of long-term organizational health. Monster and Church &

Dwight are two of the best performing stocks under our coverage over a long stretch of time. Both

companies have exhibited disciplined capital and resource allocation and tend to have leaders whose

compensation and tenure horizons are aligned with the compounding nature of brand equity. Brunson's

decision was a masterclass in exactly that. Long-term value creation requires leaders who are willing to

subordinate personal extraction to collective construction. We would like to stress this particular lesson,

especially as many companies are either coming closer to potential CEO transitions or new CEOs just

starting their journey.
