Databricks 2026 Data + AI Summit Takeaways - Listening to the keynotes, reading through the survey and walking the

floor, it was clear that this conference just Hit Different. Ali The Conqueror unleashed his Dragons of Innovation bringing

peace to the Data Realm. The end result is a true Agent Native, Next Gen Enterprise Data Platform ready to power

ANY mission-critical workflow for a hybrid man & machine ecosystem. Between some Spinal LTAP, Mortal Kombat's

Reyden, Black Panther (yes we are having some fun here), or the Genie Ontology and Unity AI Gateway it was hard

not to feel overwhelmed by functionality and yet also unsurprised by accelerating growth across each and every product

line and region (confirmed by our survey with 51% of customers now running AHEAD of expectations (vs. just 37% last

year), while 86% expect to spend more over the NTM (40% "significantly"). While historically Databricks targeted the

Data Sci/Eng folk, this year the Genie came out of the bottle for normies (in Finance, Sales, Marketing & HR) that

use Genie to complete daily tasks. The other profound shift was who the real new customer is. Hint it's a non-human

lifeform! Databricks declared the agent itself the primary user and frankly rebuilt the entire stack around that bet.

As agents double the enterprise workforce overnight and run at machine speed, the old split between transactional,

analytical, and real-time systems becomes the bottleneck. The answer is "I Dream of Genie" Suite powered by a new

Ontology, (Genie Code (63%) and Genie Ontology (78%) topped our "most excited" and "most anticipated" product
