Meet the Speakers

Professor William Webb, independent consultant - author of “The 5G Myth”, “Our Digital

Future” and “Spectrum Management”

William is an Independent Consultant providing advice and support to a wide range of

clients on matters related to digital technology. William has published 20 books including

"Beyond the Tower: The Satellite D2D Revolution", “The 5G Myth”, “Our Digital Future” and

“Spectrum Management”, over 100 papers, and 18 patents. He is a Fellow of the Royal

Academy of Engineering, the IEEE and the IET, a Visiting Professor at Southampton

University, and a non-executive director at Motability. He has been awarded three

honorary doctorates and the IET’s Mountbatten medal, one of its highest honours, in

recognition of his contribution to technology entrepreneurship. He was President of the

IET – Europe’s largest Professional Engineering body during 14/15.

Meet the Analysts

Mathieu Robilliard is a Director within Equity Research at

Barclays. He is co-head of the European Telecom sector

team and covers European/Latam telecom companies and

the Satellite Services sector globally. The

Telecommunications team ranked No 1 in the 2024 Extel

survey. Mathieu joined Barclays in 2014 from Exane BNP

Paribas where he was also in charge of Telecoms and

Satellite Services. Prior to that he worked for Bank of

America, DLJ and Merrill Lynch in Equity Research and
