He will be succeeded as CEO by Lynne Fitzpatrick, the company's current Erika Nelson

Mr. Duffy, who has been at the helm for over 25 years when he was appointed

Chairman in 2002, then Executive Chairman in 2006 and CEO in 2016, described

leading the company's transformative growth as "among the highest honors of

my life." He led CME through its IPO, the merger with the Chicago Board of Trade,

and the acquisition of NYMEX, building a global powerhouse with a market cap

of over $95 billion. He endorsed Ms. Fitzpatrick as the right person for the CEO

role due to her strategic and financial expertise. She has been with CME Group

since 2006, holding various leadership roles including CFO since 2023, and

President since 2024.
