Dentsu revives 360i as a special social unit
Adage, 10/06/26
What happened? Dentsu is reintroducing the 360i brand as a small, specialist social team
within its network, led by WPP's former Ogilvy executive Christine Cotter, to recapture work
increasingly going to boutique agencies. The unit will operate flexibly, either standalone or
embedded within Dentsu, using a lean structure and fixed-fee model designed to offer faster
turnaround, senior access, and AI-native capabilities while testing new ways of working that
could influence the broader group.
Our take: A "start-up" based on AI and fixed-fee model to compete against boutique agencies
that are not burdened by legacy issues is an interesting strategy for Dentsu. If successful, we
would expect other HoldCos to follow suit.
