We attended the American Diabetes Association (ADA) annual meeting in New Orleans. Share takeaways for

continuous glucose monitor (ABT, DXCM) and insulin pump (BBNX, MDT, PODD, TNDM) coverage below.

Vibes? Conference seems more and more like an obesity conference than a diabetes conference. Walking through

convention center majority of conversations are ‘obesity’, ‘weight loss’, ‘cardiometabolic benefit’, ‘GLP1’...little love for

‘time in range’ away from the CGM and pump booths. It’s a pharma world right now and we’re just living in it.

TLDR takes by company:

ABT? Company preparing to go hard on dual analyte glucose ketone sensor, Libe Duo. ABT also showcased how they

are using AI in customer support automation and in-app food logging with Libre Assist feature. Wolfe? Still unclear

there’s a big incremental benefit of tracking ketones in addition to glucose. For now, feels more like a marketing claim

than something that will drive clinical value.

BBNX? Published real-world outcomes from baseline A1c to iLet GMI. Spans majority of BBNX base and shows patients

getting GMI down in the 7%-8% range. Wolfe? Like the real-world results and like that this isn’t a small sliver of the

user base. Some companies report real world outcomes but only on recommended or optimized settings which we

don’t love….kick out all the bad and it looks good! PODD pushing fully closed loop (FCL) as ‘no settings for a doc to

tweak’ which is where BBNX is today. Think this supports our belief that market probably moving towards BBNX-like
