environment sounds better, enterprises are acutely focused right now on assessing
internal and third-party exposure risk and thinking through strategic investments. While
CISOs appear to be having success getting additional budget dollars post-Mythos, we
got the sense strategies are being carefully considered, with very little standardization of
AI-security playbooks.
Budget Environment
Generally, it seems like Mythos is catalyzing board-level conversations and introspection
on security posture, but at this stage incremental budget dollars are still subject to
strategic debates and not funding immediate investment in incremental tools or rip-and-
replace projects. We heard very mixed opinions on vendor consolidation but note one
CISO that cited their acute focus on supply chain vulnerability risk as further support for
leveraging incumbent solutions. Lastly, automated security workflows (AI-SOC) were
cited as an easier incremental investment relative to automated remediation/patching,
