suggest GLP-1 users are more likely to eat less calories while taking GLP-1 drugs,

with survey respondents dining out less, changing eating habits, and appreciating

healthier foods more. While still in the early stages, we believe increasing usage of

GLP-1 drugs could represent a sales headwind for many restaurant brands, including

QSRs and those that are considered less healthy. Changes in eating behavior could

also increase menu shifts towards healthier and smaller-portioned menu options.

GLP-1 advancements over the coming years (incl oral pill format, fewer side

effects, lower prices) should support accessibility to GLP-1 drug use & increased

adoption. Our current view is that GLP-1 drugs have had a modest impact on

restaurant traffic and sales thus far, but with greater adoption we believe impacts

US Softlines Retail: AI ROI: Why It's Real

We believe the US consumer spending environment for apparel and footwear is

stronger than the market realizes (link). In addition, we believe AI will accelerate

GDP growth fueling increased apparel & footwear spending. Furthermore, and more

importantly, we see AI helping Softline companies boost sales and margins more

than the market is anticipating. Our previous work showed Softline companies are

already taking AI very seriously (link) and AI is likely already having a positive
