Our view

What are the most material In 2021, Vital conducted a materiality assessment to identify the main focus areas

VITL properties, diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as tenant partnership and

employee experience; and G) corporate governance on sustainability. These issues

drive VITL's sustainability strategy.

Does the company integrate VITL has established a Sustainability Committee to lead the REIT’s sustainability

sustainability considerations into its strategy, goals and initiatives, and to regularly engage with management on key

strategy? priorities. The committee reports to the Chief Administrative Officer, who in turn

interacts with the Board for regular review and approval of the REIT’s sustainability

strategy and related initiatives.

What is diversity like at board / The Vital Women in Real Estate resource group established in 2020 seeks to improve

management level? hiring, retention and advancement of females in the company and the community.

Currently three (38%) of VITL’s eight Board of Trustees are women. Based on

available disclosure, women currently hold 50% of global leadership positions.
