A consistent feature of discussions was that investors did engage with the investment

particularly the framing of the grid value chain and the identification of beneficiaries

across networks, equipment and enabling technologies. The discussion, however,

typically centred less on the breadth of the opportunity set and more on prioritisation

and timing, with questions focused on where constraints are likely to emerge first, how

quickly this translates into incremental capital allocation, and which parts of the value

chain are most directly exposed in the near term.

Our response: We think this is a natural progression of the debate. Our core view

remains unchanged: grid constraints are evolving from a system issue into a

capital allocation story, and we continue to see a broad and investable opportunity

set across the value chain.
