expanding the fleet renewal program to ride-hailing drivers and taxi drivers -link.

The program was created through a provisional measure and provides up to R$30bn

in credit to finance new vehicles priced up to R$150k, with financing applications

expected to start on June 19. The government estimates the eligible ride-hailing

driver universe at 1.2–1.4m drivers. Eligible participants include active registered

taxi drivers and app drivers with an active registration for at least 12 months,

provided they completed at least 100 rides on the same platform over the period.

Financing will be restricted to new vehicles meeting the program’s sustainability

criteria, including flex, flex hybrid, electric, or ethanol-only vehicles, produced by

automakers qualified under Mover.
