Publicis announced on Sunday 17th May it has entered into a definitive agreement to

acquire LiveRamp, a global data collaboration platform for a total EV of USD2.2bn in an

all-cash transaction at USD38.5 per share (+30% premium vs previous close).

LiveRamp is a data collaboration platform for the agentic era, enabling companies to

unify, manage, and activate data across the entire digital ecosystem.

The transaction follows the announcement of a partnership between the two companies

on data collaboration earlier this year (PUBLICIS GROUPE, PUBLICIS GROUPE ADR:

Implications of Publicis / LiveRamp strategic partnership).

With this transaction, Publicis fills the remaining gap in its data architecture with secure

multi-party data collaboration and clean room infrastructure. This completes the loop

between Epsilon’s Identity layer, Lotame’s graph, Publicis Sapient’s AI systems

integration and Marcel as the agentic activation layer.

Combined with Epsilon’s identity, LiveRamp’s collaborative clean rooms, data

connectivity, market place, partner and agent network will build a leader in data co-

creation that will enable clients to: (1) Collaborate with greater speed, security and scale,

(2) generate proprietary intelligence and (3) continuously train and fuel AI models.

Improved data co-creation is also expected to open up a new addressable market,

boosting Publicis’ ability to accelerate clients’ agentic business transformation.

Publicis already had strong client retention over the past years both in absolute terms

and relative to peers. New capabilities coming from LiveRamp should increase clients’
