Corteva Inc "Takeaways from meetings with management" (Neutral) Spector

In Crop Chemicals (New Corteva), management highlights 7 new active

ingredients over the next decade, which is one of the best pipelines in the industry.

Biologicals are currently ~11% of Crop Chem sales and saw strong growth in

1Q26 after ~2 years of declines. Organic growth in Biologicals is expected to grow

well above base Crop Chem industry rates in the med-term and remains an option

for further M&A driven portfolio expansion. In a market where fertilizer prices are

higher, there could be increased demand for Biologicals as a replacement of

synthetic fertilizers or a complimentary product to pull in additional plant nutrition.

The company also highlights there is still a larger opportunity for asset

optimization which could continue to yield more cost savings than investors

anticipate. There are some offsets in Crop Chems in that generic products have

gained share (now near ~1/2 of the market) and precision Ag could eventually

have an impact on larger volume non-selective products (not a big focus of

Corteva's portfolio). This could lead to further partnerships and collaboration

among the larger crop chem players to better compete vs. generics. The company

notes minimal R&D overlap across Seeds and Crop Chems, and therefore there

isn't much lost in the transition.

Separation next steps

The company remains on target for the separation of Seeds (Vylor) and Crop

Chems (New Corteva) later this year. The company is hosting an investor day in

mid-Sep to provide a deeper dive review of each. Form 10 filings should be

available in the coming months which will show New Corteva as the Ongoing Co,

and Vylor as the SpinCo. The companies will internally operate separately starting

in July.
