May 12 Veritiv acquired Quick Pak, Inc., a Tampa, FL-based distributor of core packaging products, and Stickel

Packaging Supply, a New Jersey-based distributor of corrugated packaging and related solutions.

May 12 Asahi Kasei plans to close several derivative plants at its Mizushima, Japan facility by FY2030 (ending March

2030), including HDPE, LDPE, styrene, closures of its 200,000 mt acrylonitrile (“AN”) line, conversion of its

50,000 mt methacrylonitrile (“MAN”) plant to be able to co-produce AN and MAN, closure of its 3,000 mt

polycarbonate diol plant. This follows Asahi Kasei’s Jan. 27, 2026 announced plans to close its Mizushima

ethylene plant by end-FY2029.

May 11 Ecovyst intends to issue a $100 mm fungible TLB to partially finance its previously announced and pending

acquisition of INEOS Enterprises’ Calabrian sulfur dioxide and sulfur derivatives business, expected to close by

end-Q2:26.

May 11 Koppers named Eric Brenner as CFO and Treasurer, effective May 26, 2026, succeeding interim CFO Brad

Pearce. Mr. Brenner was previously CFO of NOVA Chemicals Corporation.

May 7 Univar Solutions‘ President & CEO was named Executive Chair effective July 1, 2026. The CEOs of each of

Chemical Distribution & Services Bob Craycraft; Ingredients + Specialties’ Nick Powell; and ChemPoint’s Chris

Kelley will all report to the Board.

CFO Nick Alexos will be named to the Board, and give up his CFO position.
