is the Founding Director of the UCSD MASLD Research Center, where a multi-disciplinary

team of researchers is conducting cutting-edge research in all aspects of NAFLD, including

noninvasive biomarkers, genetics, epidemiology, clinical trial design, imaging endpoints,

and integrated OMICs using microbiome, metabolome, and lipidome. He also serves on the

Scientific Advisory Board of numerous biotechnology and large pharmaceutical companies

and guides clinical drug development and biomarker discovery programs globally. Dr.

Loomba has published more than 500 manuscripts in high-impact journals such as the

New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, JAMA, Science, Cell, Nature, and others. He has

an H-index of 131.

Biotechnology. She has over a decade of sell-side equity

research experience in the sector; most recently, Ellie

worked as a Senior Equity Research Analyst at UBS in

Biotechnology for five years. Prior to that, she also

covered Small & Mid Cap Biotechnology at Cantor

Fitzgerald and held positions at Credit Suisse and

Deutsche Bank in Biotechnology Equity Research. Ellie
