According to Eixos that Petrobras Biocombustível (PBIO) is strengthening its

integration with Petrobras while pursuing expansion into biobunker and European

biodiesel export markets, as part of a broader restructuring to improve efficiency

and resilience. The company is investing in upgrades at existing plants, evaluating

the reactivation of a third unit, and seeking partnerships to scale production,

particularly in soybean processing. PBIO has also signaled closer alignment with the

biofuels industry through its planned association with Ubrabio, reinforcing its

positioning within Brazil’s decarbonization agenda. The company has already

initiated biodiesel exports to Europe and sees growing opportunities in maritime

fuels (biobunker), leveraging its logistics footprint and integration with Petrobras’

energy transition strategy.
