Oil markets: Prices pausing pre-Trump-Xi after jumping on Hormuz Oil price (USD/bbl) Index development

Crude prices are moderately lower Wednesday morning with Brent down -$1.50 to $106.50. There

have been no major developments overnight in the Middle East and the market is now focused on

tomorrow’s Trump-Xi meeting in Beijing to see if China will contribute in any to resolve the situation.

Prices rose for a third straight day yesterday with Brent 1 mth gaining +$3.56 to $107.77. The

market is gradually losing faith in any peace deal after both sides rejected each others proposals,

accompanied by hawkish rhetoric. Prices also found support on the fundamental front after the EIA

revised down its full-year forecast for global production by -2.7 mbd and revised up its forecast for

global stockdraws by a massive 2.0 mbd. The weekly API data showed another double digit decline Natural gas prices (USD/MMBtu) Overview of performance

in crude stocks (including a transfer from the SPR) of -10.2 mbls. However, this was somewhat

countered by a surprise build in gasoline stocks and a modest draw on distillates. Today’s focus

will be on the IEA and Opec’s monthly reports and the weekly EIA data.

Akastor (Buy, NOK 18): Declares dividend of NOK 1.5 per share following HMH IPO

Following the HMH IPO in April, which generated cash proceeds of USD 53m to AKAST and left it

with ~36% ownership stake, AKAST declared dividend of NOK 1.5 per share. The dividend will be
