Plugging In: The EU's Electric Ambition

In April, the European Commission launched AccelerateEU — a sweeping

strategy designed to reduce the bloc’s dependence on imported fossil fuels and to

fast track the shift towards domestically produced clean energy. At the heart of this

agenda is a forthcoming Electrification Action Plan, which will set targets for

electrifying industry, transport, and buildings, alongside a major overhaul of grid
